Busy Day of Coachings and Rehearsals

This week is starting out the best way possible...super busy!  Started the day having an inspiring coaching with David Finckel before watching him give a lecture all about performing. (More details of that to come soon).  Then, had a lesson with Phil Setzer on Mozart Sinfonie Concertante.  The day added a spectacular addition when I went to watch Arnaud Sussman give a recital as well as participate in a masterclass as part of the Stony Brook violin faculty search.  Not only did he rock the performance, concluding with the Debussy Sonata played with a ton of colors and moving interpretation, but he played with an equally incredible pianist, Michael Brown.  Hope you enjoy their Dvorak Sonatina 3rd mvmt posted below.

At this point, however, the day was not yet over.  With our Groupmuse performance coming up Saturday, Katie Smirnova, Andy Bhasin, Kumhee Lee, and myself got together to rehearse the second movement of Schubert's Rosamunde quartet.  Such fun putting together such amazing music in a short timeframe.  And we will get to play it again a few more times!
